North Carolina Inspection / Maintenance Program

Since 2008, Worldwide has been providing certified emissions and safety inspection equipment to licensed inspection stations in the State of North Carolina as part of the North Carolina Inspection / Maintenance Program.

Worldwide’s OIS 7500 is certified by the Department of Environmental Quality to meet the State’s specifications for vehicle inspection equipment in North Carolina, including the handling of Electronic Authorizations, as well as performing both safety and safety-emissions inspections.

Worldwide provides its certified emissions analyzers and maintenance and support services statewide in North Carolina. 

Emissions Testing is now only required in the following counties: 

  • Alamance, Buncombe, Cabarrus, Cumberland, Davidson, Durham, Forsyth, Franklin, Gaston, Guilford, Iredell, Johnston, Lee, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, New Hanover, Onslow, Randolph, Rockingham, Rowan, Union, and Wake Counties
